What Guests Are Saying
Oh Ridge Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful lake access and spacious, clean campsites, making it a favorite for families and returning visitors. Despite some issues with restroom accessibility and a lack of showers, most guests appreciate the friendly staff and the well-maintained facilities. While there are concerns about parking fees and campground maintenance, the overall atmosphere and scenic views make it a desirable camping destination.

Sites are too close together. Not all loops have a restroom and only one toilet per restroom in the men's. Lots of sunny sites. Too hot for me. Beach is not free to park for campers at the campground.

Our annual trip to Oh! Ridge reminded us once again why we love coming up here. We usually visit a little later in the season, so the hotter-than-usual temperatures caught us off guard. I completely forgot to make reservations at the six-month mark, but luckily found and snagged a last-minute cancellation and booked a week in the loop.
We ended up with a site (Squirrel #48) that had a nice windbreak—which was a definite bonus. Unfortunately, leveling the RV took every block we had, and the real downside was the total lack of trees. With the heat, that made things a bit rough. Still, we take it all in stride, and the beauty of this area more than makes up for any inconveniences.
One change worth noting: access to June Lake Beach now requires a $10 fee. Honestly, it's probably for the best. The chaos from double-parked cars along the road used to be a nightmare—no more. If you can't make it down to the beach, June Lake also makes a great base for day trips to Mammoth or even Yosemite.
If you haven’t been up here before, the Eastern Sierra—where Oh! Ridge is located—is quite different from the western side. It’s drier and has an almost desert-like feel, so be prepared for that. Spring and Fall are probably the best seasons to visit. And a quick tip: the park rangers and camp hosts are great—as long as you treat them with basic respect. See you next year!

clean restrooms with toilet paper and soap. Went on July 25 and there were no mosquitoes. Wood sold $10 at the campground host, 3 host locations for the campground which is nice. To drive to the lake is $10 cash only but you can just walk it from the campground, go early as lake gets packed after 11am.

Hello,
My family and I have been visiting Oh Ridge for over 40 years now. It’s a yearly tradition that we look forward to every year. I was however saddened this year to see dirt bikes that are not street legal cutting through nature sections and cruising the loops of the camp ground. Total disregard for the beauty of this place. I remember 10 years ago there were signs that did not allow motorcycles that were not street legal allowed in the camp ground. We also saw many UTV’s driving around as well. Frustrating to see this camp ground turn into an OHV area.
