This is an old campground that isn’t easy to access with an RV and took some expert level maneuvering. Access to town was great, plenty of hiking/biking and UTV trails nearby. Convict lake was amazing for fishing and swimming. Will come back to mammoth lakes, but not this place unfortunately due to a rude camp host.

Myself and a friend booked sites #47 (5 nights) & #50 (1 night). Upon my arrival to #47, I found that the adjoining neighbor was playing loud music, with dancing lights, had 5 dogs, over 8 people and their stuff strewn all into my campsite boundaries (Slings, dog runs, do fences, bicycles, BBQ, firewood, chairs, hammocks, etc. They also ran their generator 24/7. I immediately spoke to the host since the neighbors were so noisy and disrespectful of others peace and surroundings and asked where I could move to. The host said he already gave them several warnings and they ignored him and that I should move. Therefore, I had to move and pay for 3 more nights at #35. I feel that both the hosts / administration locally and recreation.gov should uphold and penalize campers for violating polies that everyone else is held to adhere to. I have called 3x to recreation.gov and get disconnected, transferred and hung-up on when trying to file a complaint and request a refund. WHY LET FEW OTHERS RUIN THE EXPERIENCE OF THE WHOLE CAMPGROUND???!!!

Wonderful campground grumpy Host. Complained about music at 7:30PM. Complaint was not the issue, came in with a bad attitude and started bullying guests. Made a statement that alcohol was the issue. Nobody was drinking yet. He needs a course on diplomacy.
