Great camping spot. Lots of trees and sites are large and lots of space between sites. Hosts were wonderful!

This campground is peaceful at the start of the season. The camp hosts were friendly and keep the campground clean. Our only issue this year was the mice. They were everywhere. The last couple of days we had to set traps which could not keep up with the number entering our ridge. Never had this issue here before. Looking forward to returning in August for another 2 weeks. I guess one more improvement needed. Fill the holes at the entry. Been the same holes for the last 10 years.

I went camping here with my friends and it was such a beautiful, nice, calm campground! The site we picked was also great and a good distance from a water spigot and bathroom. Debbie and Tony were wonderful camp hosts and let us know everything we needed to know once we arrived. They also had lots of firewood for the fire pits. We would definitely return in the future!

The campground host were great. They kept the bathrooms clean and answered any questions that we had. The lower rating is for the campground itself. I've been coming here for over 30 years. Each year the campground gets worse. It is so overgrown by the creek that there are no longer any good fishing holes. The campground itself needs to have some of the brush cut back. We didn't use the fireplace in one of our sites because it was a fire hazard next to the brush. The conservation corp need to get in there and clean this campground up.

This is our third Year spending time at Sherwin Creek! Love the “remote” setting in the forest and easy access to the surrounding area. Of course your only a few miles to Mammoth and all the activities available.
This year my son brought the grandkids and stayed in a site close to ours,Awesome to say the least. He came in a day early and needed a place to park his rig. Tony and Debbie(Camp Hosts) went above and beyond to accommodate his needs and find a temporary site. They were the best hosts we’ve had, at the many places we’ve stayed over the years, making our 10 day stay unbelievable .
Shout out to the lower Camp Host Patty who also was responsive to our needs and helped make our stay pleasant!

LOVE this campground! Spacious sites, as compared to other campgrounds in the Mammoth Lakes area. Clean grounds and bathrooms! The hosts, Tony and Debbie, were friendly, hard working and constantly making rounds on foot and in a cart, monitoring the sites and camper’s movements; coming in and out of the grounds. They were very welcoming and helpful to us!! We enjoyed the hiking trails and bike riding available nearby and the town of Mammoth offered restaurants, coffee houses, grocery shopping and ski/fishing/bike rentals if needed. The Mammoth Lodge and many lakes Mammoth offers are just a short drive. We highly recommended Sherwin Creek!

I had a great campsite on the creek. Had super cool neighbors and the campground host is really friendly and stops by to say hello.
There was a bear in the area and bear awareness was in effect big time..

Enjoyed our stay at Sherwin Creek! The walk in sites are enjoyable along the creek side with lots of trees and beautiful scenery. The campground host Debbie and her husband are really nice and helpful. You can buy wood from them for $9. They do a great job keeping the bathrooms as clean as possible, considering they are pit toilets. Would recommend camping here if your destination is Mammoth! Its far enough away from people, but also relatively close to the city, so provides flexibility for grabbing a bag of ice in town or going to a brewery!
