The site was great: clean, private, & had a nice bear box, picnic table, fire ring, and multiple places to pitch a tent. Loved the trail around the lake with beautiful mtn views. There is only 5 womens' showers for the whole campground that were $5 and pretty gross with wads of hair everywhere. Also store was out of firewood. Bathrooms were clean. Overall nice place & would recommend.

Campground is big and there were a lot of people there. The women's shower was filthy. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Easy walking distance to trails and the lake.

I didn’t know much about this park until a year or two ago. We were in the area and decided to visit. What a wonderful park. And I am amazed that there were no people??? I mean, that’s awesome, I love when parks aren’t packed. This park has so much to offer. I loved the lake & all the views of Lassen Peak. The drive within the park is beautiful. We were there during butterfly migration and it was wild. Sooooo many butterflies. Most of the hikes are easy but with the elevation and heat/sun, you need lots of water. The Yellowstone like features were neat as well but not my favorite. The lava tubes are very neat. Not as cool as Craters of the Moon but still worth checking out!

Great location and amenities! The beautiful Manzanita Lake is perfect for boating and lake shore walking. The sunset and the Lassen peak view are amazing. Showers and flush toilets are available.

Site C36 is great. Right next to the restrooms, which were some of the nicest I’ve seen in a NPS campground. Camp store had everything you could need and the shower facilities were nice as well.

Surprised to not have anyone monitoring the camping situation. Rangers came through on Saturday night only.
