This site is in the center of the B Loop. The parking area is not very level, but the camp host generously let us use some levelers. We were close to the restrooms, which were kept clean except for Saturday. It seemed a bit odd not to clean them on the busiest day. This campground is a great base for exploring Lassen, but there needs to be some better work around reservations, no-shows, cancellations. There were unused spots and many campers had to move 1-3 times while other spots sat empty.

Sad that there is no EV charging available. I had to drive my Tesla to a KOA near Shingletown and wait 3 hours at a 240vac/50 A destination charger so I would have enough juice be able to make it to a Supercharger in Red Bluff.
RV sites should be upgraded with at least 115VAC outlets and water hookup. I would pay $15/night more.

Large but mellow campground. Clean bathrooms. The camp store camp items were sparse so be sure to bring everything you need. Showers were nice and laundry was convenient. Broken washing machine beds to be fixed and could’ve fit two more to speed it up.
Excellent ranger talks!

Nice site. This site looks like it was a single pull through site that is now two separate sites (but with a single pull through paved driveway still). Initially we thought someone was in our site. The table, food storage, and fire ring are not near the site and you almost have to walk through the shared site to access them. We were able to easily back in our 25' travel trailer and no issues setting up.

An awesome demonstration of natures o unimpeded power. The fires have disimated the forest but nature stands tall with many other offerings. Moreover
the hike to the peak was challenging but fun. The abundance in millions of migrating Tortoise Shell butterflies had made the mountain and the surroundings much more special.

Amazing setting, Lake Manzanita is spectacular. Some bathrooms needed more upkeep but understandable given the high summer capacity.

The campground offered plenty of space between sites, was quiet and well located. The facilities were fairly well maintained in view of current budget cuts and layoffs. My only negative is that it is very difficult to get a spot near or within view of the lake unless one rents a cabin.
