No supervision of campground. No NPS staff or Law Enforcement Rangers anywhere on site. Several noisy groups of college students on field trips and playing loud games and running around campground playing ultimate frisbee. Not peaceful. Get it together LAVO.

Stopped for a quick visit with family.
Campsite was clean and visibly pleasing.
Don't expect the sites to be "level", bring what you need to get your RV horizontal

Heavy smoke from a nearby prescribed fire was really bad and made an otherwise great location really unpleasant. I left after one night and probably should have left before ever setting up camp. Not sure if there is a way I could have learned about the fire in advance, but it would have been helpful.

Great campsite. Easily accessible. Sone of the flush toilets are out of order, but plenty of pit toilets. Sone of the drinking water spigots are out, but still enough to go around. The camper store (open 8a-8p) has all the basics you would need. The showers at the camper store are a nice added amenity. There’s laundry as well. Don’t count on cell reception although there is enough to get texts or a call through at mile marker 14 on the main road through the park, a few minutes from the campground)

Filthy bathrooms, garbage cans over flowing at the camp store, sites are close together, camp store inattentive and uncaring. Not a good experience and for all of the fees, not worth it. $30 to get into the park, $35 per night, $8 to dump, $5 to shower, $10 for firewood. Had been here about ten years ago and it was nicer. Probably won't ever go back.

It would have been nice, but they were doing a prescribed burn right next to the campground. The air was unbreathable - unhealthy and dangerous. It was shocking to me that they didn’t evacuate the campground. There was no way we could stay there, so we left. Very disappointing.
