What Guests Are Saying

Summit Lake North is praised for its great location within Lassen National Park, offering scenic views, easy access to hiking trails, and a beautiful lake for swimming. The campground is well-maintained with clean bathrooms and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite for visitors seeking a relaxing camping experience. However, some sites are closely spaced and lack shade, which may affect privacy and comfort.

This was a clean, happy, beautiful campground. There were plenty of trash cans and bathrooms and the bathrooms were super clean. I loved it here.

This is a lovely campsite with great hiking opportunities and a really nice lakeside with trees. There are lots of trees in this campsite and great places to hang hammocks and shade clothes. If you have a pop up to cover your table that would be helpful. All the fire pits had grates on them and picnic tables and bear boxes were huge. The sites are a little close to each other but it seemed like you could fit 2 tents and 2 cars in most sites. Most campsites had pull through parking spots. I really enjoyed the flush toilets that were cleaned daily. The whole campsite was clean. They even had a large sink for washing which Ive never seen before in a campsite and really appreciated. Everyone was really nice who I interacted with. There's no cell phone coverage in the campsite but there seemed to be a couple spots in the park you could find. The closest place for ice and firewood seemed to be Manzanita to the north. From the south you can buy firewood and ice in Mineral but not at the park entrance. The water does get a little crowded with day use people but there are no motorboats which is great.

The camp host came and visited us with her dog. Super nice lady and was accepting of our dogs. People were so nice. The sites were clean and the restrooms immaculate. Sites are relatively small, but accommodating with a solid picnic table & fire ring.
