Summit Lake North is praised for its great location within Lassen National Park, offering scenic views, easy access to hiking trails, and a beautiful lake for swimming. The campground is well-maintained with clean bathrooms and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite for visitors seeking a relaxing camping experience. Great spot for camping! Right next to Summit Lake which is a fabulous lake for swimming and kayaking. Only tents and small RVs, so no annoying generator noise. Trailhead right there meant it was easy to go an quick evening hike after camp was set up.

Sweet little campground beside the lake. Most of the sites are very close together however, so if you prefer a little space from your neighbors be sure to look at the map and pick one around the back perimeter. Also be aware that there is no cell phone reception.

Though there were lots of people we still felt alone in our site…very nice.
