It was a great experience. Having the lake nearby was also helpful just so it was easier to wash up when needed.

Cleanest and most silence bear box ever!
Bathroom with pit toilet was also very clean. But beware that there is no electrical light to indicate bathroom so make sure you have your own headlamp.
I think the park takes very seriously its dark sky status. Which you'll find fantastic. On a clear night you'll see inky black fir trees silhouetted against the starry sky from your campsite.

Very quiet tent camping (no RVs, no generators) and good-sized sites. Clean and well maintained. Conveniently located at the center of the park.

Very nice campground. Pretty views. Nothing much nearby in terms of stores (but we expected and planned for that). Bathrooms are not flush, but were well maintained. Campsite was nice. We were able to find two flat areas for two tents. We would totally visit again.

Site E12 was fantastic - close to water and toilets, but not too close. Large, partially shaded, backed into a field with lots of privacy from neighbors. Definitely one of the more secluded sites. Camping for only one car (or two very small cars - we drove a minivan). Some bugs around 7, but they went away by 8. There were a few bats flying overhead late one night. Site had fire ring with grill, picnic table, several tent sites to choose from. Incredible view of the Milky Way at night. We never saw the camp host and would recommend buying firewood outside of the park and bringing it in. Highly recommend overall!
