E23 has very little shade. There are only a few trees. Close to water. Not too close to the toilets.

I hate to share, only because the good places can get over populated, but this is a gem of a camp spot and National Park for that matter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The bathrooms where clean, Summit Lake was beautiful and it was conveniently located to many hikes in the park. We used both trails accessible from the campground. We highly recommend the hike to Echo Lake and beyond. The 2021 fire really devastated the park, however don’t let this deter you from coming. There are plenty of spots that were untouched and preserved. We will definitely be coming back.
