What makes a beautiful place better is having a good camp host. This year we had our favorites back, Steve and Cash.
Always friendly without being intrusive, and they keep this pit toilets in tip top condition!
Much better than last years experience with different host.

We have been camping on the North Yuba River for many years and about 3 years ago shifted from Cal Ida campground to Indian Valley. It is like night and day such an awesome campground right on the river. We were so glad to see Steve and Cash back this year as hosts, they are great. They are attentive and keep the campground clean and have a knack for getting along with everyone that keeps everyone camping getting along and not being rowdy like some of the other campgrounds. Some of the best hosts we have ever met. Our only complaint is it is such a great campground it is hard to get a reservation!

Well maintained campsite! Perfect size for our family. And great location by the river, but not too close to the road.

Early season camping is always beautiful at Indian Valley. The river is full, the temperatures are cool and the the bugs aren't out yet.

Early May - Perfect time of the year to visit - (Not recommended in July August) - Very uncrowded - River running swiftly - Suggest driving / riding ebike to Eureka Diggings + Eureka Cemetery - paved all the way - Instructive signs of gold mining in area. Watch for the "Eat Me" billboard on the highest part of the road. National Forrest road 25 or Eureka Mine Road.
Trout fishing - dirt bike trails galore.
