What Guests Are Saying

Union Flat offers a beautiful, quiet campsite with lovely tree coverage and proximity to the Yuba River, ideal for relaxation. However, some sites can feel crowded due to nearby mining groups and noise from Hwy 49 and mountain bikers. Notably, there is currently no potable water on-site, which can be a significant drawback for campers.

The location is always beautiful and the rock we hang out every day for hours. The river was awesome this year.

The sites at the far end of the campground, I think 9 and 11, share the space with a separate group of people that are part of a gold mining group or something. They are not part of the reservations system and have their own claim to that area.
It makes that part of the campground pretty crowded with these extra cars, trucks, trailers, campers, people and dogs.

There was no water in the campsite at all. The water spigot that used to be there looks to be out of order indefinitely.
Plenty of water down the road at Loganville.

We tried this site because the other sites had no spaces. It was next to the highway and very loud with traffic driving by, and of course once again all the mountain bikers stayed up very late making lots of noise. I thought this time would be different but it was NOT!!

This site is next to Hwy 49, noise from cars and a lot of mountain bikers stating up late making noise. The other campgrounds are much better and not on the main road.

Sites were too close together, and sites were small. We selected site 10 online. When we arrived it was in a dead-end culdasac formation all the other sites were occupied with multiple cars/trucks. We did not what to feel that close or crowded so we decided not to stay.

Pros- Beautiful area, spaced reasonably apart, up against Yuba river , nice tree coverage, clean bathrooms.
Cons- Very close to the highway with occasional race cars and pocket rockets. Water for campers was shut off. Non- poisonous snakes in the river. Though my wife got a cool video of one eating a trout.

No Show Policy
A no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date (or for day-use facilities, by check-in time the day of arrival).
* No-show customers are only recorded at staffed facilities. At most remote facilities, all customers are noted as automatically checked-in on the date of arrival.
* It is recommended that staffed facilities hold a campsite until check-out time on the day following the arrival date.
* It is recommended that staffed facilities hold group day-use facilities until check-in time on the arrival date.
There is no change fee if a customer extends or shortens a reservation if the change includes dates from the original reservation. If they choose to depart early, they may forfeit some or all of the recreation fees.
There is no change fee if the customer changes campsites that are the same price and on the same reservation dates in the same campground. If the campsite the customer is changing to has a price difference, the customer will be responsible for any additional fees or be provided with a refund, based on the price difference.
Where recorded, no-show customers are assessed a $20.00 no-show fee and forfeit the first night's recreation fee for a campsite or forfeit the entire day-use recreation fee for a day-use facility. We recommend customers contact the facility if they are en route to their reservation but cannot make it by the check-in date. In these cases, no refund will be issued, but the facility can ensure that a "no-show" fee is not assessed.
