very peaceful and beautiful place, except for drinking water, because there is no water and electricity.

Camp host was nice and informative. Clean pit toilets. Clean campground. Only bad part was the biting flies. But they only got me! Deet didn’t help. Stream near by was nice and calming. Would definitely come back again.

I was switched to site 53 by the camp host because there were a few open spots and she thought this site was shadier than 51 (it was pretty hot out). Not only was it nice and shady, it was really private, creek running right behind it, and far enough but not too far from the rest rooms. There were three possible spots to pitch my tent and I chose to get further from the road and closer to the creek where it was nice and flat with a great view. Tons of poison oak everywhere (but avoidable if you pay attention) and plenty of bugs (lots of bug spray needed) but would definitely camp here again.

Site 27 was fantastic, 5/5. Walked the entire grounds and no site had all the positives this one did. The pictures on this site and others dont really how awesome this layout and grounds are.
-Very close to the creek, didnt have to walk down steep sides like most other sites. Water was flowing well in early March.
-Even mix of full shade and full sun areas, depending on your preference.
-Very Large, plenty of space to sprawl out since youre at the top of the road and only have 1 neighbor.
-Secluded, heard very little traffic.
-Couple good options for hammocks.
The map is hard to understand but 27 is the end of the east road, furthest site at the top of the roundabout. Your only neighbor is site 26 (also a nice site) and they're 50+ feet away.
Bring your own water. Lots of gnats in morning/afternoon but not a problem. Zero other bugs or critters around. Be aware of poison oak. Hosts were helpful in pointing us to the nature trail and sold wood in the evening. No fire restrictions in early March. Close to the town if you forget anything. Just a great site and grounds.
