Water is very low currently and gets warm. Campsite was left dirty. Only open bathroom was a very full portapoddy...

The restrooms were terrible. They were dirty and had spiders and ants everywhere!

We stayed two nights. The campsite wasn’t crowded the first night and it was very warm! (End of June) Second night was very windy and became a little more crowded as could be expected (we stayed a Wednesday and Thursday night. Camping neighbors were amazing people! Bring extra tent stakes, firewood and sunscreen and it’s a great time! We even did it with a 6 week old baby!

On the good part the price is great, free dump station and shower is free, on the bad side bathrooms are really dirty and shower was plugged up, and half the bathrooms are closed so you have to walk a mile or more to get to a bathroom that is open. There is host there but they don't clean or take care of it.

We have always enjoyed our stays at Buckhorn. This trip was different. The bathrooms were filthy and showers n toilets were clogged up. We even volunteered to help out. But the rangers said no. We applied to help. But turned away. Sad but true. Not sure if we will come back until plumbing is fixed. Its a nice place on the Loop and down at the lake.

Beautiful spot, only stayed a short time but it was great! There are bathrooms and water spouts on site, and it's just so peaceful out there!
