What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

We had a wonderful time at Pinnacles. We have found the best time to go is winter, mid week. It gets pretty crowded on weekends.

Chilly evening, but we were car camping so it was tolerable. The weather during the day was perfect for hiking. We did Condor Gulch the first day, around 3-5pm when the condors were out searching for dinner. It was awesome. Great hike! Next day did Bear Gulch and Reservoir hike. Recommend both. Campground clean and no sign of pesky raccoons. ;)
This is our second visit to Pinnacles. The first was two years ago in October during tarantula mating season. Didn’t even know that was a thing. Super cool. But also glad we were car camping. Because…no thank you!

The Balcony Cave and Bear Cave hikes were a couple of the best trails we’ve been on

Clean and lovely! Campground A site 3 was relatively close to the bathrooms and showers. I car camped as well as my friend and we were able to comfortably park next to each other.
If you think your food is secure, think again. Raccoons can smell the tiniest crumb and come after you!

We stayed in one of the tent cabins. It was spacious and clean with electricity, 3 beds, a space heater and electricity! We also had a picnic table and for ring. We lived this style of camping and the peace and quiet of the campground. It is very close to the national park. The campground stores were well stocked. I would have liked closer restrooms and more showers. The woman's room shower had hot water but the men's room shower water was cold.

Campsite was fine. A raccoon did steal some of my food. No complaint there. I could have been more careful. Some young folk were having a fun loud time, but they stopped during quiet hours. One thing to note is that the nearest bathroom became out of service when the toilets wouldn’t flush. Thankfully there were other options. Do note that the firewood sold here is quality, but quite inflated.
