What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Literally the only reason I docked a star is because the closest bathroom to us was clogged on day 1 and was not fixed for the entirety of the long weekend. Otherwise gorgeous, well maintained campsite with excellent amenities! I'd happily return.

The campsites are nice with plenty of room between sites. It was quiet at night. There is no cell signal in the campground (T-Mobile) and the store advertises that you get 30 min of free Wi-Fi then you can purchase more. What you get is 50 MB for free, which only lasts a couple of minutes for a Wi-Fi phone call. You can purchase 500 MB for $7. I did not try the showers as it was cold and the showers were not heated. There are only a few showers, way less than what should be available based on the number of campsites.

Great trails that are well maintained with different levels of abilities. Holiday weekend was pretty busy but bus service within the park was very helpful. Only two showers at the campground were open but water was warm and they even had pumpers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Winter weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Cold nights with beautiful stars above and warmer afternoons. Rangers were very polite and helpful.

This is an oddly shaped campground creating long walks to the bathrooms. The bathrooms where fine enough, just not enough. Also, our site had limited privacy and was at a turn around. We left after just one night.

Love this campground-especially in the off peak season. Only negative is we paid for WiFi and it was not reliable.

Lots of wildlife. The staff in the bookstore and grocery stores were very helpful and friendly. Loved the old settlement buildings. We hike the Bear Gulch trail. January was extremely quiet and clear

The park is amazing, but the RV area has some quirks. First, the site needed several blocks to level our unit, also be sure to bring a lantern with you as the showers, although hot, are not well lit. Being on the outer ring our site had some privacy, unlike the sites in the middle. On the plus side the price is great, especially, considering the amenities. We look forward to returning again.

During the off season it was quiet and peaceful. Got in a little late so it was harder to find the restrooms and facilities in the dark, but otherwise everything went smoothly! Racoons are sneaky though, got to make sure to stay vigilant
