What Guests Are Saying
Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. While some noted issues with limited facilities and the presence of raccoons, overall, guests found the campground enjoyable and a great base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Pinnacles National Park.

Love the park. Great hiking. Very hot but we knew that before we got there.

Stayed in site 79. Spacious enough for two 4-man tents. Planning on coming back. Had some raccoons in our site, as did others. We kept our site clear of food and scents, which made for no issues with the raccoons.

The sites were either overgrown with poison oak (like ours) or devoid of any trees or greenery. We had three grandkids under the age of 6 and were very concerned about keeping them out of the poison oak. Even our dog was a challenge to keep out of the overgrowth. Very stressful week.

Loved the campground! The site was gorgeous, with lots of shade.
Our site was booked for 2 vehicles, but there really was not enough room for both and we had to squash together. It wasn't a side by side area as most of them are, but rather a long thin area to accomodate our 2 vans. Mine is big van, good thing my friend's was a tiny van. Side by side would have been a better option for us.
The free wifi at the store worked fairly well on Thursday but by Friday, with more people, it was impossible to get even a text out. I have T-Mobile and had 1 bar by the pool, which allowed me to do everything I needed to do, even a phone call. My friend was on the Verizon network and didn't have any reception at all.
It would be nice to have a few chairs by the pool. There are 7 lounge chairs, that people commandeer, even if they are swimming most of the time and there are no chairs. I did bring my own chair on the second day, but it was a long walk with a heavy chair. Alternatively a bench, or some place to put or hang towels would be helpful. The wood chips are just not a good surface to leave a towel!

Perfectly fine location. Perhaps slightly small area to pitch tents.

Lots of deer, rabbits, raccoons and other small critters, much more than expected. Also a dusk they are bats flying around.

Pinnacles was great. The only downside is the most aggressive raccoons I’ve ever encountered at a campground. The hike to the reservoir and bear gulch cave was a hi-light. Just know when the sun goes down the raccoons come out.
