The campground is much like all other campgrounds in the area. This particular site, #6 wasn’t very private but it has excellent Starlink service! Also, you don’t park “in” the site, rather you park “at” the site. So, I was sleeping in my Topo Topper on the road. Not a big deal at all to me, but something someone may want to know. Easy access to the lake and walking distance to the Pokanobe store.

Very clean restrooms. Host greeted me while I was getting settled and provided information about the campground and animals.

Besides at night was so cold. Everything was perfect! The best stargazing ever had! With mammoth lake rock and lake Mary lake view!
Our camp host Karen is so nice. She introduced us about all lakes around our campsite and makes us feel like very welcomed to mammoth lake

Campground was well maintained. My spot was marked with my name on it. I did not like being in the smoke of other campers fires - it made all my stuff stink.

Campsites were good but camp hosts were not. I followed all the rules, and I was still told to do more and follow rules that weren’t displayed or even mentioned to us until they wanted us to follow them. also was lied to by the camp host and threaten to be kicked out. First we were told the campgrounds on our side would fill up and we need to be quiet or she would have to kick us out. Mind you there is no noice ordinance for this area but we were told we can’t play music louder than what our phones will do. also this all came the day before we were supposed to check out. I enjoyed my time and the campsite but the camp host from across the way was very rude and not professional at all. Second our campgrounds never booked up. It stayed empty the entire stay but we were told it’s filling up. I feel like this would’ve been a 5 star if the camp host would’ve treated us as adults instead of making threats to have us removed because we are having a good time and we were younger than every other campsite there.

Would not recommend the site we stayed in - had to walk up a small hill, and we were very close to the site next to us. There were high winds and we were not at all protected.
