Lake Mary Campground has always been a great base camp for our hikes around Mammoth and a convenient stop before heading into Yosemite. The campsites are perfectly adequate, and the facilities are good and well-maintained. The camp host was also very nice and helpful. The only real downside is the lack of privacy between sites. Overall, it’s a solid, convenient campground in a beautiful area.

We stayed at one of the lakefront sites, and the views were breathtaking. The campground was peaceful, with spacious campsites and clean bathrooms. While we didn’t engage in water activities, our neighbors enjoyed fishing and paddleboarding. We did embark on a beautiful hike to Crystal Lake. I’ll definitely return if I can secure a spot at one of the lakefront sites again.

Bathrooms were so clean. Karen the camp host was so awesome to talk to and she answered all my questions. We bought our fire wood from her. Lake Mary was beautiful and you can also rent kayaks from the marina. At night we stood on the lake shore and star gazed at the Milky Way. I would definitely camp here again.

Pros:
--Super close to the lake, only a short stroll and you're on the lake!
--Beautiful area
--Clean single-occupancy bathrooms

Cons (for this site specifically)
--Exposed, very little shade
--Not a lot of flat ground for a tent
---No pull-in parking spot for your car. You have to park on the path/road in front of the campsite, which is inconvenient as you have to lug all your gear from the side of the campground road

Campground is great, but pick a different site if you have the option.

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. I couldn’t locate the host. The campers and Maintence personals were rude. Could not figure out where to launch the paddle boards from. The spot was smaller than what was stated. I was told, we don’t look for the host… the host finds us. I ended up leaving after an hour of arriving to the camp ground. I was told that this was a non contact campground and not to speak to anyone.

No camp host on-site. Very crowded (understandable) but also very loud throughout the night. Had to cut trip short to escape the partiers.
