I just wanted to say that this camp site was great very roomy and it was even better because my group of 20 had the hole group section to ourselves. The host manny was great as well he was very curteous and was always checking in to see if we were good and or if we needed anything. People say that the train is noisy but did not bother us at all in the group site area . Also manny made a recommendation to go check out the water fall near by so we did and it was great . We were able to swim there and have a great time. I will definitely be coming back to this camp site agai
and Hope to see manny there as our host next time as well.

My family, friends and I have been coming to Spanish Creek for almost 15 years, and we LOVE it!! Great swimming, clean facilities and beautiful scenery. I suppose the occasional train noise could be a draw back for some people, however I’ve never found it excessive or impossible to sleep through, more charming than anything!
Lots of yellowjackets in the later summer months (it’s typical for the area), so a pop up screen for over your table while you’re cooking is a huge plus!!
Manny was super present and helpful. Our group felt very secure in leaving our camp and cars unattended at times, as we knew he was aware of who should (and, more importantly, shouldn’t) be in each camp site.
We’ll be back next year, as always!!

This is where my Old Boy Scout camp was in the 1960's: Camp Wallace Alexander. I spent several summers there. I really like the area where this camp is located. Good swimming area. Be prepared for yellowjackets as the you go longer into Aug/Sept. This is normal in many Sierra areas.
There was a new host this year and he was very good in checking on restroom facilities. and keeping them clean. I only stayed one night because of time constraints. I will be back. There currently is no ATT cell service there Don't know about other providers.
If you don't like train noise don't go. This is located near active tracks but it is part of the charm for me.

We loved this campground! Easy access to the Creek which was beautiful, clean, and cool, just wear water shoes because there are crawdads on the bottom of some places. Cell service was spotty (Verizon) so I wasn't checking my phone every second, which was great! Manny the camp host was on top of any campers with their music to loud which was so appreciated, the bathrooms were well kept and he was very attentive and helpful!! We came out here to unwind and we did just that. The trains come by often and they are loud, but if you like trains you will love it here. We did! Thanks Manny!

Very clean campground, Manny the Host was extremely helpful and friendly. Only 4 stars and not 5 because we caught zero fish in 2 days!

Clean, campsites well spaced apart. The swimming hole was fun and refreshing. The train noise is no joke, though!

This is great campground with an awesome swim hole. We went in eRly August and the water was a great level. Very good for families with younger kids. We saw Crawdads and snakes. Our camp host, Manny, was very present and attentive. The bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Everything was well kept.
Beware though- trains run through this area 24/7 and not quietly. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.
