Campsites were clean, well positioned, facilities were clean however the hot water in the bathroom facilities closest to us did not function. Noise level was zero but we did stay midweek. Will go again as the bass fishing is very good at this lake if it has sufficient water in it.

Camp host are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Ranger Ayumi was very rude. We had several complaints. First it was pouring rain for hours and we went inside our trailer. We did not have a fire nor were we asleep thankfully, at 930 pm we get a banging on the door telling us we can’t leave the fire unattended, there may have been some embers however like I said it’s been pouring rain and still was so we had to get a water hose out. Then my son in law had to move his truck over because she didn’t think he had enough tire on the pavement and last my son had to pay 10.00 to come see us even though we are allowed 2 cars per sight and I had 2 sights because one of the sights I rented had no power. The other sight smelled like someone had used the restroom there and another ranger said some questionable people had stayed there before us. We love Eastman we have been going for years. Never have we had any issues we follow the rules and leave our sight better than we found it. We didn’t complain when there was no water in the park nor have we complained when there has been no power in our sight.

Cloudy and cool but a wonderful campground. Clean and well maintained. Rangers/hosts are attentive. We did have loud neighbors come in Friday night and found one “guest” sleeping in his car right behind our rv.

Site 43 has some nice features:
It's very close to Restroom #3, about 200 feet. There are two trash cans only 30 feet away. It's well-aligned with the access road, so it's easy to back your vehicle in. The picnic table and fire pit are 10 feet away from the back of the parking pad, and on the same level - no having to climb a hill between the parking pad and the picnic table like at some of the sites in this campground. The view to the east is very scenic. There is a large oak tree right next to the rear section of the parking pad on the west - hanging a light or lantern from a tree branch and angling it just right lights up the picnic table after sunset so you can easily do food prep at night if you want. There's plenty of flat space around the rear of the parking pad and the picnic table to set up a tent.
Activities:
There is a boat ramp 1/4 mile away, and day-use areas 3 miles away on the west side of the lake. There are hiking and biking trails, and in springtime when the grass is green, the whole area around Eastman Lake is very beautiful, with wildflowers growing all over. It's very peaceful, and the spring season soundscape is relaxing: lots of birds, and in the distance you can hear cattle in the pastures, and coyotes yipping at night.
If you don't have a boat, but do have a car for making day trips, it's 90 miles each way to Yosemite National Park, via Highway 41. If you can get up early and get on the road by 06:00am, you can be in Yosemite Valley by 09:00am, and have more-or-less a full day to explore the place, then drive back to Codorniz after sunset. There are other National Forest campgrounds closer to Yosemite, but none with electric hookups that I know of.
If you are tent camping, as I am, the optimal season here is about October 1st-to March 31st. From April through September, it's very hot in the daytime, and December through February can be very cold at night, but March is ideal for tent camping, with the spring flowers and green grass.

Codo 11 was the perfect site to camp with family! Just a few steps away to capture a beautiful sunset and another few steps to check out the water. Definitely recommend!
