One of the best campgrounds! We were in site #5 we a great view to the lake! The only little issue: the description said there was water service at this site, which is not quite correct. It’s a shared faucet about 50 yards away.

The campsite is a little out of the way but it served our needs of celebrating Thanksgiving at an out of the way location. The sites are well maintained, clean, and water sources are not far from the non-electric sites. Bathroom was clean and operating and available at no cost. Wood is available from the volunteer rangers at their site for $5 a bundle. Trailer site with electricity appeared to be also to be well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our first Thanksgiving camping trip there. There are trails available for hiking, and fishing in the reservoir. Finally, with a Senior pass it only cost us (party of three) $30 for a three night stay. In my opinion, a bargain. Give it a try and see what you think.

The weather was great in November to visit and camp. Campground was very busy prior to the thanksgiving holiday.

Nice with cool weather this time of the year. Holidays and weekends are busier than normal at this campground. Kids are loud and play on the streets away from their own campsites vs using the playground. This means you might get a two hour sports event in front of your quiet campsite.

We enjoyed our time at the campground. It was very quiet and peaceful. At this time of year we didn’t see very much wildlife but on others stays we have seen plenty.
