This campground was interesting. I arrived at sunset and there was not a single other soul staying there. It was especially eerie because this campground is 40 minutes from the nearest town. Also got attacked by a camel spider. I hope to never see a camel spider again.

We have camped many times at Eastman Lake, but this trip started out bad. When we arrived there was a group playing live music and talking on a microphone. Even though it was hot we opted for the primitive campground with no electricity because of noise. When we pulled into a shady site a ranger pulled up and scolded us for parking there without a reservation. He stood there putting pressure on me until I completed the reservation. We were the only people in the Wildcat campground. He also said he had a report of someone driving fast through the campsite. My husband is the slowest driver i know. He left a pamphlet of the rules with reckless driving and parking in a site we hadn’t reserved yet circled. We’re seniors who camp there quite often and have always been treated with respect except by this young ranger.

Rangers and sherifs drive by your campsite way too often. Everything else is good! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises by the lake.

Nice campground, quiet on weekday, clean bathroom. Just DO NOT pick this site, all lot of gum resin falling from the tree. Its hard to wash off from the car.
