We wanted a close getaway for the 3 day weekend . First time camping there it was nice and quit. Rangers came by and interacted with the kids in the camp next to us. Great place to camp before the snakes come out !

Campground is beautiful with all the new grass. Lake is getting full due to all the rain. Rangers are friendly and take care of issues quickly.

I don't want to rate this campground too highly because I want it for myself. We paid $15 with a discount for a full hook-up. What a deal. We came from the Arizona desert and this place is such a relief. Trees, green grass and coyotes in the distance. Our site was spacious with a covered picnic table and fire pit. The ranger was delightful. We came here last winter and the lake was almost dry. Good to see it almost to the top. The storms have really helped. Of note, Road 26 has been washed out so it takes quite a bit longer to get her on the various back roads. There are life jackets available for boaters. T-mobile is only available in certain areas of the campground.

Codorniz campground was absolutely beautiful. We were there in January so the lake was full, the hills were very green, and the campground was not very crowded. There were lots of sites that would fit our 39' motorhome plus towed vehicle. There were many walking paths where we saw a lot of wildlife such as coyotes, deer, bobcats, hawks, and bald eagles. And the rangers were extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Codorniz campground is under a boil all water before use notice. Had a rather exciting time accessing this campground due to the closure of Road 29 due to washout from Chowchilla - it has now been re-opened.

The campground is beautiful this time of the year with green grass and a filling lake due to all the rain ( Jan. 2023).

Great experience. Although a spent two days in the trailer because of the rain when we did get out we got to do some hiking. Great views. Set up is very nice and they have something for all camping type. I will definitely go back and also recommend. Camp host was super nice and very helpful. Restrooms are clean with running water and hot showers if you need it. That's awsome.
