43 was a good campsite, and we enjoyed the electric hookups. plenty of space between our campsite and neighbors..

I had a reserved site, showed up and someone was still in the site. I asked them if they were leaving and was told that the Rangers opened the site for them and that they were staying. I connected the Camp Host who did not know anything, they connected the Ranger. Long story short, it seems that this person in the site does favors for the campground/events, and was being bumped around to sites. Doesn't seem like a good way of doing things, because at some point someone is not going to be happy about dealing with a situation like this.

Not much shade, okay room for kids to walk in Campspot room. Camp table and fire pit are not next to the driveway (slight walk backwards of drive in)

Getting There
Eastman Lake is 30 mi northeast of Madera, 25 mi east of Chowchilla,
and 50 mi north of Fresno. From Highway 99, travel east on Avenue
26 then north on Rd 29. Follow signs into the campground.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via Highway 99, which is approximately 30 miles to the west. From Highway 99, travelers can proceed east on Avenue 26.

- General store and fuel services are 20 miles away
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
