despite the website saying our site had shade there was absolutely NO SHADE! fire pit and picnic table were poorly placed and couldn't be moved. The lake is super low and more muddy than anyone would like. We were miserable in 100 degree weather and drove 1.5 hours to get away to a higher elevation where it wasn't so hot. WOULD NOT CAMP HERE EVER AGAIN!!!

Ranger was very helpful. Place was clean and had water and electricity and showers. Problem was we came on a day that was 108degrees fahrenhiet. My family was able to cool off at the lake. Had to leave earlier than planned because we ran out of drinking water.

As we were arriving and confused the ranger was very rude and not helpful at all. We were horse camping and the website says 2 vehicles. Each truck and trailer is one vehicle. The parking pads are only big enough for one truck and trailer so we had to get extra campsites just for the parking. It was unanimous that we will not ever camp there again. Maybe after the group camp opens it would be better, but that won’t fix the rude rangers.

overall a good experience. However there are some maintenance issues that need resolution. We were in CO60 and had electrical issues with the GFI plug on the power pole. what ever was plugged in, tripped the GFI. tried several devices. Friends in an spot two away had Water issues with the restrictor/backflow adapter on the site hose bib.
