We RV camped at this park in 08/2021, and had a really memorable experience. This is a great park overall, with lots of washrooms and showers. Some of the RV sites have a lake view and others don’t. They come with 30amp chargers and no water (mostly) or sewer hookup. There are water filling stations and a dump station though. All in all this park provides a great opportunity to fish and boat at this beautiful lake that it faces. There a few stores close by which carry essentials, including fishing permit. Also, this park is really close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National park. However there is not much hiking opportunities inside this park, and lake is the primary attraction. Now that we discovered this gem it will be our go to park for water activities.

Great views of the lake. Rangers are super nice. It was dry and hot while we were there. There are a wide variety of spots with different sizes, some with various hook ups (water, electric) and some not. So you have to pay attention to what site you select. Cellular reception was relatively good.

We were supposed to stay for three days but we only stayed one. It was to hot and the lake was far to keep walking back and forth.

Friendly staff. The 30amp plug had been overloaded by maybe a 50amp rv?. It smoked my 30amp plug (circuit breakers on sites panel and my rv did not trip.
Some dump customers are leaving a mess ie. gloves old hoses etc. maybe dump needs a garbage can? But otherwise we love Island Park.

Beautiful view of the lake and great for sunsets! There were a lot of kids so it is very kid/family friendly. Also, The front attendant was super nice! It is very hot and that is a scarce amount of grass grass so make sure you bring a blow up mattress.

No shade, extremely hot, and nothing to do nearby if you don’t have a boat. Showers were nice tho.

Loved the beach down the hill from our campsite. Sites are pretty exposed to others and noise, so other rowdy campers may dampen your experience. My dogs had a lot of trouble with little prickles and burs constantly stabbing their paw pads or getting caught in their fur.
