We went in August and the campground was hot and dusty. We attempted a hike through the tunnel across from our campground, but there were not any established trails to follow.

I read comments about the flies and I thought, how bad could it be? It’s really really bad. If you leave your mouth open you breathe them in. We packed up in a rush and got out of there first thing in the morning before breakfast or coffee. It was that unbearable. At night it was nicer but there’s really no barriers between you and the other campers so you could see and hear people clearly around their camp fires. The bathrooms were clean but no sinks or showers. The camp host was nice enough. It would be fine but the flies were unimaginably bad and made it impossible to have fun or even concentrate.

nice site - quick warning, the edge of the site near the tree line has lots of poison oak! Simply keep clear of it and you will be fine, as it does not go into the site itself.
The site is quiet, flat and relatively spacious. The camp ground is small with only 15 spaces. Bathrooms were clean, water was working.

The campground was nice and clean and the campsites were spaced apart nicely. The trees in our three sites were live savers in the 90 degree heat, and the rock formation next to our site (10) was fun for the kids in our family.
One of the four bathrooms was out of order the whole time we were there, and the water faucet between sites 7 and 10 was not functioning correctly. It needs a new faucet to be installed. The other disappointment didn't really have to do with the campground - All the maps showed the river to have water where we could hike over and cool down. Not a drop anywhere near the campground, so we all drove down river to a couple of water holes at a day use area.

It's a small camp with no showers, but I made a reservation after reading the reviews before booking.
