What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Half the bathrooms were closed but the staff were nice and the bathrooms were clean.

Super impressed with the camp hosts and the cleanliness of restrooms. A lot of trees cut down. Very sad to see and wish we had known our site was full sun pretty much even though it said otherwise.

The staff was fantastic this year and the bathrooms were clean and stocked. We were in F loop and had plenty of privacy. Water was not potable while we were there and I did not see any information about why or if it could be boiled and used. Half of the restrooms were locked to conserve water but I observed most campers waited for one rather than using the outhouses so I am not sure any water was saved.

We stayed in spot 66F, it was small and sloped! Really review your spots it can make or break your stay. The campground is gorgeous and we had a great time regardless!

Great location and swimming area. My only complaint is the lack of bear boxes. Also be aware they only provide non-potable water

You need to let campers know farther in advance concerning the lack of drinking water. We were led to believe that the water issue would be resolved by our start date. But that was not the case. Luckily I did not trust the situation to be resolved and carried up plenty of water for my group. Others in my family were more trusting and ran out of drinking water. For as much as we are charge to camp in this campground, an auxiliary water source should have been provided. ( Tanks of potable water) And at least accurate info concerning the water situation. Last year the water was not safe to drink and no advance notice was given.
Also, if bears are going to continue to be present, bear boxes for food should be provided.
thank you

The days are beautiful but the nights after 8 years of going to Dinkey Creek now have bears roaming the camp sites, mostly loop B and C. I checked in after hours, no notices of bears at the checkin office. Very scary with my children. Several sites were raided by bears, a sting of car alarms throughout the night tell you the path the bear is on. I just wish someone had told be not to choose the loop most frequented by the bears.

Was a water issue at the campground, but it didn't stop them from charging full price. Campers were allowed to become belligerently drunk and yelling so loud they could be heard from an entirely different loop. I got there at 7pm and left less than 12hrs later. Wont be back.

Unfortunately, so many trees have been cut down in the campground, it was just too hot, too dusty, and too crowded. Without the barrier of trees between campsites, we might as well have been camping in a parking lot. And the water in the creek was REALLY low and challenging to access. Other than that, the hosts were pleasant and the bathrooms were fine.
