What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Our 2nd trip to Dinkey Ck after last summer's epic stay was a little less joyous. The campground had no potable water this year. Very few bathrooms were open. Almost every night out of the 4 we stayed had bear encounters. If people are going to car camp with tents PLEASE put your dang coolers in your cars!!! From around dark to midnight our loop had a bear EVERY night we were there. Car alarms were the norm during these hours. It seemed the only way to ward off the pesky bears. I saw trash bags ripped open with waste scattered around a camp and no one was there. C'mon people, use your heads! These bears will most likely have to be euthanized because of your careless behavior. I love camping here, but clueless people are ruining it. I feel that the staff could've done a better job by reminding and possibly citing these campers for leaving their food out. The creek was a little lower this year due to the poor rain/snow season we had, but other than that we had a great time. Maybe bear boxes would be a nice upgrade for the campground and help solve the bear issue.

Unfortunate people don’t know how to appreciate the resources provided. Water got low enough to close restrooms. Tenters suffered. RV you were fine if filled up at home. Overall love this location and experience every time!

Pros: Very clean and well attended. Beautiful surroundings. Drove up to Huntington Lake, which was beautiful, and a great place to let the dogs swim.
Cons: Site 41 was a little tricky to back into with our 27 foot travel trailer. Site is right next to bathrooms and close to other sites. Jerky camper up the hill shone spotlights directly into our site.

Awesome experience! Loved the dense woods and smell of nature all around. The honeymoon pool was super awesome to get into! The water was cold but felt rejuvenating after swimming and splashing around in it. Visited for 4 days but left after three because we had a 6 hour drive ahead of us. I was honored to meet "Pete", one cool English park ranger! Great meeting you, mate! Hope to visit again sometime soon.

Sad that so many trees were removed prior to the bark beetle coming through and killing trees. the campground lost so much shade and privacy. Still one of the best places to go. New personnel members are so much nicer than the old group. Thanks for that. Our family has been going there for approximately 50 years. Very special place
