What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Great location. Had fun but a bit far from the bathrooms. Definitely the best spot to get away from other campers

We had a great time at Dinky Creek, camp site were cleaned bathrooms were cleaned and disinfected. The couple who was charge of sites were super friendly and were always checking bathrooms. Check in on day of reservation was easy so was checking out . Thank you staff from DC for making our yearly camping a memorable one again.

J114 campsite was a great spot lots of shade and space. Dinkey Creek overall is awesome. We've camped here every year since 2016 and we always look forward to our next trip. You won't be disappointed.

The campgrounds and campsite were GREAT and the staff was amazing. Unfortunately, we did not realize there was no potable water at the campgrounds to fill our trailer. We scrabbled, survived and got our tank filled. We would have driven there with a full water tank otherwise. The website should have been very clear about that. THIS is now one of our favorite all time campgrounds. Highly recommended.

I'd probably give 3.5 stars- Nice spot for camping & we love the creek, which has some swimming spots, fishing and granite slides (at the end of the road). Beautiful area, but just know- there have been lots of trees cut down due to the bark beetle- so some sites have more sun and are more open than they used to be. Also- I thought most sites were tents only but there were a few trailers and RV's trying to squeeze in- some were on the parking spots that were so uneven! Just because a site says '40 ft max' doesn't mean it's suitable for them. We'll stick with our tents. There are clean bathrooms and water faucets- the water says 'non-potable' so bring your own drinking water. We used the water from faucets to wash dishes after boiling. There is a small store at the front that has necessities (like bottled water) and the store has pay showers as well.

We had a great visit! My boys loved the campgrounds and the staff was very friendly. The facilities were impeccable, bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. We will be back as soon as we can.
