I wish there was a designated swimming area. We went to the other campground in hopes to get in the water for a bit since it said there was a swimming area there but it was closed. Other than that it was great.

The campsite was great but bathroom needed more attention.

There was only one block of flushing toilets the others were vault toilets and smelt SO bad and ran out of toilet paper. The campsites overlooking the lake are small but amazing. Really beautiful location 8/10. We will go back.

The place is great! it is close to the lake, spacious camp sites, I would suggest to take a look at the photos of each site in this website so that you can choose your site according to your preferences of location, orientation, view etc, and 50 cents for 5 minutes of shower is something I am grateful for. I think we definitely would pay more if that helps to get a cleaner bathroom and tissue papers stacked.

Apparently we couldn't hang our hammocks on the Trees because it hurts the tree! Yet the people next to us were allowed to enjoy theirs! Rude rangers. We will stick to don pedro reservoir and Pinecrest!

Water was much lower than normal so campsite was very dry with stickers. It was okay but we woke up cover on fire ants. Had to pack up and leave early they even got into the car and the family is cover in ant bites. Camp anywhere else!

My experience isn't a reflection on the park or the people who work there, but of the other campers who were there (and who were previously in site 117) There was beer cans in the fire pit, there was trash all around the rocks (some I put in my own garbage bag and some I couldn't get to) one of the park employees drove by and when I asked if there was a garbage can near by she was nice enough to clear out a bunch of it, but other stuff I didn't even notice until an hour or so later when i decided to leave.
the real issue is that the inconsiderate folks in other camp sites get cutting through my camp site to get to the trail down to the water, the trail that started on the other end of the camp site. After this happen three times I decided to leave instead of getting in an argument/fight with those inconsiderate folks.
The site itself is super rocky, so be careful make sure you use a ground mat of some sort between your tent and those sharp rocks.
The view wasn't bad though with the smokey haze it was less than ideal. I'll come back at some point, but hopefully there'll be less trashy people when I do. (Maybe the park should put up signs that read LEAVE NO TRACE. We don't leave our garbage in the back country, you shouldn't be leaving it in a PARK AND CAMP site.
