My site is on a slope and there aren't many flat spot for tent. I notice the one that is flat doesn't have a lot of tree around. Also, the faucet is not close to my site at all. Bath room is half broken and only flush toilet at the main one with shower. Some reported ants, so keep an eye out where you put down the tent. My site has tree so shade is not a problem. The sites are pretty space out, and we didn't have crazy people party after midnight this time. Not coming back.

This is a nice, reasonable campground. The sites are moderately spread out (it helped that it wasn't very crowded when I was there).
NOTE!!! The entrance gates to the recreation area are closed from 11 pm to 4 am. During that time you cannot enter the area and cannot get to your campsite. If you arrive late, you are out of luck. This is a bad policy for the campground and probably results in many angry people stuck outiside the campground.

Great campground. Great rangers. Water management needs to improve.

The site that I reserved was just along the main road. The table and fire ring were much lower than the parking space. There were no staff around anywhere to check with finding another site. So, I just left and found a Forest Service campground along CA 108. So I paid twice.

Great location to bring a boat during the summer! However, it is not the best lake to go to if you do not have a boat because there is not much beach area. Majority if not all of the campsites require you to drive down to the lake so just be aware of that.

For the price the acorn campground is a total rip-off. Next to no amenities. Feels like it should be half priced

We stayed at acorn, and there was no access to the lake. It should state some where that you can’t access the lake at the campsite. The area was nice but very tight. The way sites are angled and it’s pretty hard to back up. We figured out to drive to the boat dock area, and parked around there. Kids enjoyed the lake, but it was very muddy. Hard to enjoy if you don’t have the right gear. So make sure you have correct swim shoes, blankets, and SHADE. There are no shade anywhere. Otherwise kids really enjoyed themselves. I definitely will not be coming back. Area was very clean and tidy. Cell service was good.

This is usually my favorite campground to stay at but this time I had a not so great experience. I had my canopy, fishing pole, air pump, and two chairs stolen from the beachside by the boat ramp. I hope that this isn't going to be what happens here. People should be able to leave their stuff without someone taking it. My rule of thumb: If it isn't yours then don't touch it!

If you’re not looking for a site to party til 2am, do NOT book here. Called for a noise complaint twice and nobody showed up. Super disappointed! Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am and it was still noisy!
