My initial campsite was still occupied when I got there and no one was around. Couldn’t find rangers for help. But ultimately was able to contact Recreation.gov to get it fixed. Eventually found rangers and they helped me as well. Apparently the person in my site dropped their phone in the lake and didn’t know what day it was.
But I changed sites smoothly and ended up liking the new site better. Bathrooms were nice. Lake was very low so water wasn’t really accessible, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Don’t expect the camp host or ranger to ask people to be quiet after 10pm. It’s a free for all so if you like to stay up late and make lots of noise, then this is the right place for you. The campsites are very small, Bit the boat ramp is very nice and has plenty of parking. Restrooms were without toilet paper for two days, but shower was free of charge.

What used to be one of our favorite places to go during the spring has become the worst to go during mid summer! Now that there are no hosts, just about every law is being broken. Not only is it impossible to get to the water unless you have a boat, it is hot, loud, and super crowded. We love coming here off-season when the grass is green and it is less crowded but we will stay away during the summer. Here is all the rules broken this weekend: 24 hour generators, excessively loud music, use of a handicap spot without display of handicap placard, 5 vehicles in campsite, over 25 people in site for max of 8, riding in the back of pickup, tree hammocks, whacking at trees to get wood, boats and vehicles parked off pavement. The rangers rolled by a few times but the abuse was so overwhelming that they just kept going. I sure hope they get this under control. Group sites filled beyond max, so I guess they are not concerned about Coronavirus. So sad. These are the people that will end up closing down our parks.

Very hot to hang out in camp. Best if you have a boat and can enjoy what water remains. Overall a decent stay.

The water is extremely low and although the Eagle Picnic area is in a great location when there is water it is in a terrible location now. You will need to drive down two ramps to get to the docks. The bathrooms are not open only porta potties that stink and there were no rangers that we could find to check in. Additionally, we rented the picnic area to bbq at the end of our boating day. By the time we got back someone had taken all our items and food. Really really bad experience. We won't be back.

We camped at Site # 98. It was clean. Partial shade and still gets pretty hot. It may be a little bit unsafe if you are traveling with toddlers as the site is on a hillside and there is a significant downhill slope next to the site. 2 Min walk to restrooms and water spigots. The restrooms were clean. Water access is pretty far, the best place to go for water activities is the Boat Launch area. Park Ranger suggested going to Heron Point for swimming but there is no trail to the water and the walk is not safe with kids.
