What Guests Are Saying
Nevada Beach Campground is highly praised for its stunning location near Lake Tahoe, clean facilities, and friendly staff, particularly campground hosts Adam and Janet. Campers enjoy the beautiful combination of sandy beaches and pine forests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the shoulder season. While reservations can be challenging to secure and some amenities, like restrooms, need improvement, the overall experience is characterized by cleanliness and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite for many.

I love this campground, it is great. I've been here many times with family and friends. Each site is big and wonderful in it's own way, whether you are near the beach or in the woods above. I love camping here! That being said, this last visit left a bad taste in my mouth. The person in the kiosk was very rude. I came up with my daughter on the second day of our reservation and just needed to drop off some items (5 minutes)- I didn't stop to check in, as my husband had already done that the day before. They came screaming up in the cart when we were unloading and told me I needed to pay $9 for parking. I told them politely I just needed to drop off some items and then would leave and park on the road. It was opening day, there were several spots open, but I apologized and went to the kiosk like I was told. When I got there, the woman behind the desk proceeded to scold me up and down about not checking in - she kept repeating over and over how I was WRONG, and I kept agreeing- OKAY already, I get it! She then demanded the $9, after I explained and apologized again and again. I was not about to pay this extra fee for being in there for 5 minutes, so I told her where to stick it and drove off to park on the road outside the campground. Nevada Beach, we'll be back, and trust me, your rules will be followed so that we don't encounter this again. How about note when you are reserving the site that you need to pay $9 for the 2nd vehicle, though? It's not anywhere until you get there, prices are already high - quit gouging people.

This was our first camping trip to NV Beach and it was amazing!! The camp hosts were very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and had flushing toilets, a sink, soap and mirror, which is very helpful when dry camping. It was very quiet and peaceful. We did have a spot right next to the trail that leads to the beach. That was the only thing that was a little bothersome cause of all the foot traffic but it was still a great spot. Very spacious. Literally a 5 minute walk to the beach. I can see why this place books up so quickly. We can't wait to go again!

Not our first visit to Nevada Beach Campground. Continues to be a joy to spend time and relax and enjoy the beautiful lake and campground.

The experience was horrible bc park allowed power generators to be used on camp sites. So while most people come to enjoy nature and the quiet their camp sight neighbors run their power generators that disturb the peace and quiet, are very loud, and burn fuel so you smell those carbon emissions. All this forced me out of my camp site. Horrible experience. Please don’t allow gas/diesel powered generators to be used on campsite.

Nevada Beach is a wonderful place to camp. Close to Lake Tahoe beach, clean bathrooms , available water. The best part are the bike trails. We rode our bike right into Town. Great place and will stay again.

Loved this campground. We got in because of a cancellation, so I recommend checking the site periodically for openings. Really liked campsite #31. It's close to the bathroom, and dog beach. The area is clean, and there's lots of space for our dog. Distant view of the lake through trees and campsite across the way. Didn't use picnic bench because it was too far from our van, and it is cemented to the ground. Bear box was clean and great to have. Our first night we used the larger toilet building - there were no lights around the building, and inside the toilet closet, so you need to bring a lantern or headlamp to be hands free. Two things I wished it had: shower; and electric hookup. I'd pay extra for these amenities. We glamp with electric cooking devices that draw a lot of power from our lithium batteries, so shore power would be nice to have. Otherwise, this place is awesome for REAL campers.
