What Guests Are Saying
Nevada Beach Campground is highly praised for its stunning location near Lake Tahoe, clean facilities, and friendly staff, particularly campground hosts Adam and Janet. Campers enjoy the beautiful combination of sandy beaches and pine forests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the shoulder season. While reservations can be challenging to secure and some amenities, like restrooms, need improvement, the overall experience is characterized by cleanliness and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite for many.

Great site. Some sunlight for solar panels but lots of trees. Great quiet campground.

We absolutely loved our 10-day stay at Nevada Beach Campground! Even though it’s just minutes from South Lake Tahoe, it still feels wonderfully peaceful and surrounded by nature. You get the best of both worlds — the stunning Lake Tahoe shoreline, the sandy stretch of Nevada Beach, and the forested beauty of the Lam Watah Nature Trail right nearby.
The dog-friendly beach was a highlight for us — it was great to relax by the water and see so many happy four-legged friends enjoying the lake too. And the sunsets here? Simply unbeatable.
A big shoutout to Manager Adam and his amazing crew — Janet, Mike, Chris, Tammy, and Randy. They clearly take pride in their work. Every campsite is freshly raked and spotless before guests arrive, and the bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained.
It can be tough to get a reservation, so plan ahead and book six months in advance if you can. We stayed in Site 29, which offers a bit more privacy and shelter from the wind — highly recommend it if you prefer a quieter, more tucked-away spot.
Can’t wait to come back to this beautiful campground!

Beautiful campground though each campsite is open to thy neighbors. No privacy but large campsite to set up van, RV or tents. The bathrooms are single, private accommodations kept clean. The beach is just a short walk from the campsite and you are looking at the most glorious Lake Tahoe. Anything you may need is on the main road, a 3 minute drive from the campground. The surrounding area is gorgeous with upper class homes. Absolutely make it a stop on your trip or make it the trip. If you are OK with an open-to-your-neighbor campsite and love the beach, this is a great campground.
