What Guests Are Saying
Nevada Beach Campground is highly praised for its stunning location near Lake Tahoe, clean facilities, and friendly staff, particularly campground hosts Adam and Janet. Campers enjoy the beautiful combination of sandy beaches and pine forests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the shoulder season. While reservations can be challenging to secure and some amenities, like restrooms, need improvement, the overall experience is characterized by cleanliness and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite for many.

Love this campground! It’s a great family campground.

We had the absolute best time camping. This campground was right on the lake, the bathrooms were always clean, the site was freshly raked and had a pinecone pyramid on the table to welcome us. Janet and Adam were beyond amazing and the friendliest campground hosts on the planet. They were so kind and took the time to answer all of our questions. They went above and beyond for our family. It was our first time camping there and we will absolutely be back!

Beautiful, level site with lots of room. Nice trees for hanging a hammock. You will get lots of sun on your patio area in the afternoons, so it can get pretty hot. This is one of the closest sites to the beach so there's less privacy than others, but you can hear the waves crashing as a bonus.

Had several opportunities to get a canceled reservation, several reminders to people with reservations probably helped. Lucked out on a great site and the stay was much more enjoyable staying during the week rather than the weekend. Staff was great as usual but I always wonder who would you would contact to enforce campground rules or had a safety concern. Never have seen any Forest Service Rangers or any law enforcement. It’s a big park with a big crowd some days and not everyone behaves appropriately.
One annoying thing is people dropping the metal lids down on the dumpsters, really loud! Maybe some rubber pads would help?

It is a great location on the beach of Lake Tahoe. Great biking/walking paths right from the campground. The campsites are spacious so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Easy to get into town and enjoy all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Very good, although disappointed that no dogs on leash and no dogs on the beach were not enforced.
I was also very disappointed with respect to all wildfires around the country in our forests that you would promote and sell firewood.

The beach is beautiful, and the water is incredibly clear and refreshing, although very cold. There are not enough restrooms, and unfortunately, there is usually a line. Most of the restroom doors do not close properly or are difficult to shut. There are no showers available. Entry is $12 per day, and both cash and card are accepted. The beach is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. I do not have any information about camping.

Lovely campground, great beach, and camp hosts were great. Site 43 is good with a good amount of space between both neighbors. If you are setting up your tent at night, look carefully to ensure you're not setting up over an ant hole as there were many throughout the site (though ample space for tents in between). Also, note that there are deer mouse nesting in the tree roots near the picnic table/bear box. They weren't a problem, but they were active at night, so whatever food items you're not paying attention to on the table after dusk is probably fair game.
