Had a good time! Proximity to lake and Truckee river. The camp hosts very picky about dogs barking or kids playing making noise even during day time.

After hours check in clear and smooth, excellent location, clean campsites and bear boxes. Saw a bear so definitely happy to have to box! Bathrooms well maintained but a little far apart from each other.

Be sure to bring ear plugs as trailers and caravans are allowed to run their noisy generators from 7 am until 10 pm Some people run them continuously. Kind of takes the fun out of camping

We had the perfect spot so we were not backed up against the neighborhood that surrounds the outer loop. Some spots are definitely better than others so look carefully at the site map. Camp Hosts responsive and had a visible presence. Only complaint had to do with trash bins; all full which made it difficult to discard trash. An important factor given that a bear was seen in the campground. Will definitely return.

The campground is pretty nice and the hosts were nice too. The two things that made me not give a perfect score were that the beach isn’t dog friendly even with a leash and the spot was level, nor could we put out our awning because trees were so close.

Our site was a lager one and felt private. We enjoyed the easy access to the lake and lakeside restaurants. Just a short walk. Note that you do have to drive or bike to beaches.
