What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Loved the campground. Folks were friendly and helpful. I even got a check-in visit.
My site had two Giant Sequoias and I loved that. Leveling was a challenge, with a class C, I use leveling blocks and I was over 2 degrees off level using all of my blocks.

We stayed in site 74. It was perfect with lots of shade and restrooms near by. My wife and I enjoyed our time here. Weather was perfect. Remember that besides the camping reservation fees, you still need to pay the park entrance fee of $35. We will definitely will be coming back.

Great site - easy to spread out and faces the edge of camp, so plenty of serenity on a weeknight.

Neat campground, also near the visitor center. No cell service, as soon as you enter the park itself. Quiet and peaceful. Huge bear food lockers, so far according to the ranger there isn’t any reports of bear sightings in the campground but still encouraged to keep foods and scented stuff in the bear lockers provided.

Very convenient place, however, you should be aware that all the cars coming at night will annoy you as well.

Campground was clean, had running water and toilet. Also the best part about the campground it has a hike to General Grant Tree. Also has a general store and visitor center walking distance. I do recommend Azalea Campground for anyone that is looking to camp.
