What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

We absolutely loved camping here. We were in site 47. FYI there is no shade in site 47 so don't choose it unless you don't mind sun. This campground is spacious and beautiful. Very clean restrooms. We walked our dog twice a day around the grounds and saw squirrel, deer, and more. Nice flat site to park our trailer. We took the drive on Kings Cyn Scenic Byway and to Hume Lake. Both wonderful drives and hardly any people this time of year.

This is the second time we’ve camped at Azalea, the first time was 20 years ago. its a nice campground in a good location very close to the entrance to Kings Canyon and Grant Grove Visitors center where there was a small store and restaurant which came in handy. We love that there are flush toilets and site 79 was relatively flat and huge. Perfect for family with small children, The only issue we had were the trash bins being full and not emptied throughout our stay. Also the showers that used to be available back when we first stayed there are no longer available. It was okay because we drove down to Kings Canyon and the river was our shower!
