What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Nice little campground, plenty of hiking trails near. General grant is a short walk away, the bathroom were spaced out so the closest was up a hill. Site 14 was pretty big and the neighbors weren’t super close. Had cell service and the visitor center/ market was like a 2 min drive away.

VerifiedAugust 8, 2025 • Stayed at: Site: 50, Loop: Azalea
Site 50 in Azalea campground had parking long enough to accommodate our 28’ motorhome, with enough room left to park our tow car in front. We were able to get reasonably level. There was no afternoon shade on the motorhome, though there was a tree to put our chairs under for shade. Not the nicest campsite we’ve ever stayed in, but it was very convenient to the sights of Kings Canyon & Sequoia national parks. This site was far from the very small restroom, which seemed to be the only facility for the entire campground, barring an even smaller one for the tent only loop.
