What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Great camping site. Flushable toilets make it a plus, access to store, and close to the trail is great. 2nd year at that site. Luv luv luv it. Have recommended to all of our friends. Only thing it lacks is showers. Other than that it’s a beautiful place to be.

Beautiful campground, very shady and several spots offer relative privacy. great area for the kids to explore and climb.
Most spots have slopes so it's a little tough to find a flat area for a tent.

Site 37 is a little downslope, but acceptable for multiple tents. It's quiet and sheltered from the road. It's about at the outer limit I'd be willing to walk to reach a bathroom. It gets the morning sun through the trees.
The campground is nice, clean, and convenient for access to either Kings Canyon or the big trees in Sequoia.

Site 53 has a 40ft drive way to back into and can easily accommodate back to the end - but the hill begins to fall away right at the end of the pavement. The site itself has enough level ground for 1 medium tent. The rest is un level or steep downhill.

Site 56 is a small turn out on the loop. For self-contained RV, it's just a place to park. The site off the road is 95% hill with barely space around the bear box and table.

Such a beautiful campsite. We stayed at #95 which was right up against a meadow and we saw four peaceful deer throughout our stay. However, remember to bring leveling blocks if you plan to stay in a camper van like we did. Very uneven site but worth the maneuvering! On our second day we stayed at #17 which was nice and flat and positioned right next to a huge rock. Really incredible sites! New favorite campground.
