What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

The campsite was very easy to set up camp. We were able to park our sprinter van. Because we had the app we were able to reserve a site with the QR code.

Confusing for us at the time with cones in front of spaces.

We stayed in a tent for one ("first come") night at site 60, which was very beautiful, private and quiet. Excellent hiking trails directly from the campground. Nice grocery store and gift shop a few minutes away, plus a restaurant (which we didn't try). Adequate bathrooms, dishwashing sink, plenty of potable water. The drive up to Panorama Point just before sunset was great! Would definitely stay again!

I been to this campground many time since my kids were small and it was always delightful. My children are all grown up and oved out of state now, but we had change to visit again together with one of them and it was wonderful experience with snow at the evening. I appreciate kind ranger advise as well. New campsite payment system is easy and clear, I will come back.

Loved the setting under the huge pine trees. Quiet.
Only suggestion would be to clean the ladies rest room more often
