What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Absolutely beautiful campground. Sites are large and offer a lot of privacy. Paved RV pull-ins. No hookups. No dump station - use the one at Lodgepole campground. Clean restrooms. No showers. We used site 108 with our 28" rental RV. The site is level enough to level your RV out with the provided chocks, offers a lot of privacy and has your own private meadow in front of you so you can enjoy deer grazing while you are enjoying your Miller Lite. Highly recommended, 5/5 stars, will visit again when in the area.

The site was amazing. Plenty of space for our big 12 man tent. We had a great time. 2 restrooms very close by that were super clean and well supplied. Theres a few trails close by. One leads to sequoia lake. My friends and i made the nearly 3 mile hike to the lake with the intention of swimming. But we were turned away shortly after arriving by who i assume is a counselor that works for the ymca camp thats near the lake. We were told that there wasn't any public access for the lake. So if you decide to take that hike, forewarning, u may not be able to get in the lake. None of us had cell service except for one who had Verizon. Will definitely book again asap

PROs: close to restrooms, close to water spigot, there are trees for a hammock, roomy parking
CONs: sloped esp. if you are using a tent, close to Site 72, encountered yellow jackets
Overall, compared to other sites at this campground, 74 is okay.

The campground as a whole is well kept and a nice place to stay. The restrooms were clean, there are spots to take your trash and ash, and there are several nearby places to explore and enjoy. Most areas, including this site (#99), will not have cell coverage, with the exception of Verizon.
