What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Great campsite, not overly crowded. Lots of slopes if you are tent camping.

Nice flush bathrooms with outside sink for dishes. Delicious water from their spigot. Campsites are pretty close to each other but nice and flat for most of them. The WORST thing is the reservations being allegedly "FULL" but when we went there was at least 40%+ of the campsites being EMPTY. And the website and the entrance camp sign stating the campsites are FULL which was a lie. People who don't cancel or not show up to the sites should be banned from reserving through their credit card name when they reserved. Many people want to come and actually use the campsites. They NEED to fix this.

Beautiful area with an easy walk to general grant grove. Restroom access was a bit far, but everything else was great. Easy access and well placed food storage.

We stayed on campsite 74. There was so much space, it was close to the restroom, had a good amount of shade, trees close enough together for multiple hammocks, and it was right next to a water faucet so we can fill our tank easily. We had a roof top tent, so the only downside would be that there is a slight downward slope if you have a ground tent. We were also close to the market so we could pick up extra snacks, wood, etc. as needed.
