Dorst Creek Campground is located in the breathtaking Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in central California's rugged Sierra Nevada range. The campground is perched at an elevation of 6,700 ft., on the banks of scenic Dorst Creek. Several meadows surround the campground and a number of small streams flow through the site. A handful of popular day-hikes begin from or near the campground, including the trail to Lost Grove, a 57-acre grove containing 15 beautiful sequoias.

Loved the shuttle and ranger programs.. there were lots and lots of people, that's the only bad thing.

The location is unbeatable. The sites are clean, the bathrooms (when they work) are fine.

I would like to have a ranger or rangers being around more often; things come up and there is no one by the entrance except for a few hours to register people.

The shop down the road, well, that’s really bad; most staff have nasty attitudes, they don’t belong in the retail business. The showers simply are inadequate and half the time they don’t work.

Go to the evening ranger shows in the amphitheater and do the hikes around the campsite!

Portable generators are now allowed which completely takes away the outdoor experience. They are ran for hours and can be turned on as early as 8AM. Campers also make noise prior to 8AM with no accountability from park rangers. This used to be our location of seclusion - never again, Stay away!
