Nice and scenic with lovely views. A little road noise but barely noticeable. Toilets/shower block could do with some work but at least the shower was hot. Overall a nice stay.

Everything was great until some idiots showed up playing their music loud , I had to point my flash light at their vehicle to get them to turn the music down. Seems like we're getting more ghetto people coming up there to stay

Rebooked the original site 73 and changed to site 75 due to rain which was unfortunate. Site 75 is not a good site compared to 75. The picnic table does not have a roof like others do and the ground was not level. There is one tree that does not help with the shade. The water source is down the hill as well. Don’t choose this site. 73 preferably is the best.
The campground itself is beautiful set in open area that little noise can be heard. It creates sort of echo effect. The sierra drive road is close by so expect car noise even sleeping in the tent it can be annoying. Heard the coyote howled as soon as the moon rise behind the sierra mountains. The lake is really far. Like far and not worth a trek in bone chilling weather. The restrooms and shower rooms are okay.
This campground is suited if campgrounds in Sequoia are full and farm restrictions are in place. Horse creek allows coal and wood fires in the fire rings.

Although the lake view has changed a bit as a result of the drought, we loved our visit at Horse Creek, with a lovely sunset view down the green valley. The Sunday night camp host was terrific at helping us get settled and the ranger the next morning was also very helpful.

We couldn't stay in the site we booked, there wasn't a spot where we could get our small motorhome level. Even if we had been in a tent there wasn't a flat spot for a tent!!
