Loved it here. There were only a few camping. Dry camping is not for everyone, but if you can this is a great stay. About a 10m d I've the sequoia national park.

This was the absolute worst campground I have ever stayed at. Our site was a steep hill that should be considered too dangerous to camp at. The bathrooms were useless. No toilet paper or soap. The shower didn’t have a knob so if you want a shower that is not scolding hot bring a wrench. I over heard the camp host turn people away at 8pm because they “didn’t make a reservation online 24 hours ahead of time” even though there were dozens of open sites. They closed the gate to the camp at 9pm which meant we had a curfew. I booked this place because I am on a road trip from the east coast and wanted a break from car camping. This was much worse and I regret staying here.

The most Beautiful time of the year to camp. First time at this location but it was better then expected. Weather, location, view, even went for a long walk to the lake.

We had very low expectations of this campsite. We had never been and had only learned about it when looking for local campsites on the app. We wanted to take our young children on their first camping experience while still being close to home in case it didn’t work out (moms, you know what I’m talking about lol!)
This camping experience was WONDERFUL! Clean campsites, clean restrooms, showers available if needed. Janice (the sweet lady overseeing the campgrounds) was so dang nice. She loved talking to my kids and was so helpful. The picnic tables were sturdy and covered at our campsite. Not all sites had shad coverage but we lucked out. The weather that weekend was gorgeous and was the cherry on top! I would highly recommend this campsite!

The only real negative I can say about this campground is this: know what you're getting yourself into when camping here during the summer. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and each day it was above 104F. It was hot but not humid which is good but I can't emphasize enough how prepared you need to be for the heat. Other than that though the campground is well maintained and is the first campground I've been to where I actually saw patrol driving around making sure fires were out and everything was good. The landscape is BEAUTIFUL and lake kaweah is super close with easy access. There's a small food/market area further up the road that made getting ice really easy and convenient. We will definitely be coming back just not during the summer lol
