Not the best campground ever but not the worst. There was no toilet paper or soap in either restroom for the three days of our stay. The women’s shower did not lock and the water only came out boiling hot. Too hot to use without pain. The camp hosts were pretty rude to other patrons but were nice enough to us. We ended up leaving a day early and they refunded us for a night so that was nice! I would try to stay somewhere in the parks if that’s your destination but, as a last resort, this place will work.

The sanitaires were the worse I have seen. The equipment is just abandoned. I think the host was not doing her job properly.
The sites per se are great except some without any shades.

No shade, our site 18 barely has shade. Bathroom stinks, good thing we always brought our own. Other campers doesn’t observe down time, was noisy till almost midnight.

One of the worst camping experiences we've had this year. Bathrooms were filthy for the entire 4 days we were here, and the toilet paper was never restocked in either bathroom; luckily we brought our own. Our campsite location was nice, and the views were gorgeous, but our neighbors were rowdy, and clearly no park employees cared about enforcing or even encouraging quiet hours. Not sure I ever even saw anyone who worked for the park during our entire 4 day stay. Multiple times we came back to our campsite to find wannabe squatters ready to set up camp in our spot (with our tent and gear very clearly already established). Be ready to defend your campsite, and endure neighbors firing paintball guns at metal garbage bins at 6am after playing music till 3am. Wish I was exaggerating.

Only complaint was lack of shade. This particular site had none. Was actually a really cool campsite otherwise.

Really nice camp ground by the water just be sure to bring some pop up shade unless you get a spot with shade.

The campground is convenient to the south entrance to Sequoia National Park. It is next to Lake Kaweah and the land is pretty much wide open, only a few trees. It was easy to arrive and pick up my car pass at the office and get set up at my site. The site had plenty of space, all grass, to pitch my tent. There was also a picnic table with some shade. The bathroom had one shower with good water pressure. It was very quiet once night set and the highway traffic quieted but also the sounds from other campsites traveled across the whole grounds. Major annoyance were all the mosquitos: bring bug deterrents! Last entry into the ground was 9p I believe, though you can leave whenever. It’s a good option for lake access (has a boat ramp) and also for proximity to the national parks.

I was going to give a review of this place anyway, and then you asked me for my experience. So, since you asked.... the Army Core of Engineers should be ashamed to have their name on this campground. There is a lot of land to work with here. Seriously, not a flat spot in the park, All the sites were narrow, barely enough to fit your rig on, or so short only to be appropriate for tent camping. And everything on the side of a hill. Are you so out of touch with the way people camp today that you are clueless ???? Does no one in the C.O.E. do any camping or own an R.V. ??? We need places big enough for trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes. They are all powered with propane, which does not work correctly and are dangerous if not pretty level. These sites are not even close. I was going to cut them some slack when I heard this was originally a county park the core took over, then I found out they came in and re-paved and just re-inforced all the stupid planning that had originally been done. You had an opportunity with heavy equipment to make this a beautiful and RV friendly park and you blew it !!! You should be embarrassed to have your name on this park. ! If you enjoy an uneven camp site and have a rig less than 20 ft, this is the place for you.
