What Guests Are Saying
Sunset Campground is praised for its beautiful sunset views, clean facilities, and convenient location near major attractions in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, ample hiking opportunities, and friendly staff. However, some noted issues with noise from neighboring sites and varying site sizes, which could impact the camping experience. Overall, it's a lovely spot that many would return to despite a few drawbacks.

We camped on 8/10 - 8/12 site #22. We enjoyed this campground. It was clean and we enjoyed that the sites were spaced apart even though it is due to COVID19. The site was downhill so but there were places to set up the tent. Great sunsets and star-viewing from this campground.

The campsites are pretty much on top of one another. You can hear and see your neighbors, i.e., we were camping in a tent and our neighbor on one side was in a really loud motor home running a loud generator the entire time. That is NOT why we got away to the mountains.
On the other side was a group site with at least 12 people who were loud even at 1 AM when everyone is supposed to be quiet after 9. I lost a lot of sleep and was frustrated at the experience.
Even with COVID and the shut down campsites with space in between it was very crowded and they book people one on top of the other with no thought to tents verses generators versus loud groups of people. Did not like it.

Amazing site! Loved the area very private when I went. Able to catch a beautiful sunset from just a couple feet away!

Fantastic camp ground. Very close to lots of things. At 100% capacity I imagine very crowded but it was perfect at 50%!
